4 May 2018

Dear West View family

The Public Holidays, wonderful as they are, do create pressure as one tries to fit a full week’s work into shortened weeks. So here’s a brief update on what’s happening at West View during May:

Next Thursday is ASCENSION DAY. We’re remembering Jesus’ Ascension into glory with worship services at 10am and 7pm. I look forward to seeing you there.

PARENT TALK Parenting Course runs for 6 weeks starting Friday 4th May, 6 – 8pm. Primary School children can participate in the TWIGS programme, which runs at the same time, and childcare will be available by arrangement for pre-schoolers. There is no charge for this course. For more details or to register, contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

YOUTH ALPHA FOR GRADE 9’S starts this Friday 4th May until Friday 15th June; 6 – 8pm. Contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for details

WELCOME ALEX THOMAS is our 2018 Duke Intern. She will be part of West View’s life from 19th May until the end of July. I commend her to your hospitality.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS during April totalled R485 500. This is a slight improvement on the first three months of 2018, but still below our budgeted income of R507 000 per month. We’re trusting that your response to May’s Tithe Month Challenge will clear some of the R130 000 year-to-date shortfall.

VENUE BOOKINGS: Bakang Pitse takes over from Louise Zondagh as our Venues Co-ordinator. Please contact her on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or through the switchboard for all matters relating to venue bookings at West View.

Grace and Peace
