In this fast changing, exciting and unpredictable time we find ourselves, we believe that it is God’s will to see young people empowered, strengthened, encouraged and connected to a community that will walk their own unique journey of life becoming the men and women that God has called them to be.

Rooted Youth is the vibrant and dynamic place that our young people here at West View call home. Our aim is to provide a space where life change can truly happen in a powerful and meaningful way.

Our Mission: That teens can come to Know Christ, Grow in Christ, and Show Christ.

We are rooted in Jesus Christ and make Him the centre of all we do as we pursue the deepening of our relationship and intimacy with Him.

We believe all truth flows from Him and we journey together growing n knowledge, wisdom, character and love.

We are intentional about being the presence of the God to all people around us; displaying Gods love, kindness and forgiveness.

This year we are striving to be as inclusive as possible, involving all our teens in Worship, Hospitality and service, leadership, arts and crafts you name it we have it. So if you have a particular gifting or just want to be more involved let us know!

    Confirmation 2019

Confirmation here at West View is called “Sega” pronounced Segaw. This is the Hebrew word meaning to Grow and that is exactly what we aim for with our confirmation classes to develop a solid spiritual and biblical foundation in the Word, Discipleship, Mission etc. This is to prepare teens for the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ, as well as membership into our church, that is The Methodist Church of Southern Africa.

Classes will be begin on Sunday 17th February and will be held on Sunday Afternoons in the Luke Hall from 16h00 followed by the evening church service @ 18h00.

Please note these classes also include the Youth Alpha video series.

Join us on Wednesday 13th February for our parents evening to find out more.

As congragation we went to the Ditshego Primary school in Mooiplass and performed maintance. From painting a mural, to teaching the kids to bake, fixing shelves, fixing door handles, painting cupboards and loads more. It was a fantastic day where the House of Safety Children residing at Ditshego were able to interact and get their hands dirty alongside ouyr congregation.
